BREAKING!! Governor Cuomo has at last signed the Veterans Equality Act into law, rectifying NY State's pension system for veterans who have honorably served our nation in recent decades and across the globe. This comes after two vetoes and his office's lobbying against it. Our voices were heard, and we're proud to have been key players in this year's drive toward passing this legislation!

Since early this year, the NYC Veterans Alliance has been part of a coalition of veterans and labor organizations advocating for this bill to pass, and we spoke up in person in Albany at a press conference on May 25 that urged Governor Cuomo to sign this bill into law! Thanks to all who supported this drive by calling their state legislators and the governor's office!
